Abstract

The optimal choice of mesh points for preparation of table form cross-section library for
DYN3D code is considered in given paper. Mesh points are considered for the following
states of reactor core parameters: fuel temperature, moderator temperature, moderator density
and boric acid concentration. The choice of mesh points and definition of its number is
performed in that way to cover whole possible range of reactor core parameters change
including cold states, hot power states and accident modes. Moreover the best description of
cross section behavior in the interval between mesh points is provided by using the linear
interpolation method in intermediate points.
The work was performed in framework of orders SR 2511 and R0801504 (SR2611)
under German BMU support.
