Abstract

The development of the methodological component of engineering factors of the
macrocode MOBY-DICK (MD) 1 is based on direct comparison of measured against
calculated data. Direct measured data are thermocouple (TC) and Rh detector (SPND)
readings. In this paper the normality of TC versus macrocode deviations is explained and
methodological uncertainties of the macrocode MOBY-DICK is finally checked by 97,5 – th
percentile. Absolute and relative uncertainties of volumetric ( K V ) and radial ( K q ) power
distributions are determined by entire comparisons monitoring power distribution (SCORPIO)
versus MD, TC versus MD and SPD versus MD. The final determination of engineering
factors suppose the hyperbolic dependence of MD methodological uncertainties on power
peaking.
