Abstract

Joint AER Working Group A on ?Improvement, extension and validation of
parameterized few-group libraries for VVER-440 and VVER-1000? and AER Working
Group B on ?Core design? twenty first meeting was hosted by VUJE, Inc in ModraHarm?nia, Slovakia during the period of April 16 to 18, 2012.
In total 13 participants from 7 member organizations took part in the meeting and 9
papers were presented.
Objectives of the meeting of WG A are: Issues connected with spectral calculations
and few-groups libraries preparation, their accuracy and validation.
Presentations were devoted to some aspects of transport and diffusion calculations,
and especially to the benchmark dealing with VVER-440 core periphery power tilt.
D. Sprinzl (co-authors V. Kr?sl, P. Mikol?? and J. ?varn?) presented ?Full-core
VVER-440 Pin Power Distribution Calculation Benchmark: MOBY-DICK Results?, Gy.
Hegyi (co-authors G. Hord?sy, Cs. Mar?czy and E. Temesv?ri) put ?Preliminary Solution of
the ‘VVER-440’ Pin Power Distribution Benchmark by KARATE and MCNP?, I. P?s (coauthors T. Park? and S. Patai-Szab?) provided information about ?Preliminary Results of
VVER-440’ benchmark by HELIOS/C-PORCA code?, S. Patai-Szab? spoke about ?Solution
of ‘FULL-CORE’ benchmark by HELIOS code? and G. Farka? (co-authors J. Ha???k, J.
L?ley, B. Vrban, M. Petriska, V. Sluge? and P. Urban) performed ?Critical Safety Analysis
of Spent Fuel Storage Pool for NPP Mochovce Using MCNP5?.
During the meeting were discussed questions connected with the benchmark solution
and, among others, future activities, which are also shortly described in the end of the paper.
