Abstract

Presented results are contribution to the gradual evolution of VVER-440 fuel assembly.
Selected alternative variants of ?classical? assembly with the shroud and pin enrichment limit
5 % U235 (with one exception) are compared with recent assembly in exploitation – Gd2 with
mean enrichment 4,87% U235 (reference). Influence of in-assembly power peaking on
operation limit margins is evaluated.
