Abstract

Joint AER Working Group A on ?Improvement, extension and validation of
parameterized few-group libraries for VVER-440 and VVER-1000? and AER Working
Group B on ?Core design? twenty second meeting was hosted by ?KODA JS a.s. in Pilsen,
Czech Republic during the period of April 15 to 17, 2013.
In total 16 participants from 5 member organizations took part in the meeting and 11
papers were presented.
Objectives of the meeting of WG A are: Issues connected with spectral calculations
and few-groups libraries preparation, their accuracy and validation.
Presentations were devoted to some aspects of transport and diffusion calculations,
and especially to the benchmark dealing with VVER-440 core periphery power tilt.
G. Hegyi presented paper ?Some final remark on our experience with the
APOLLO2 code?, P. Dalek (co-authors M. Bajan, P. Dalek, R. Zajac and V. Ne?as) spoke
about ?VVER-440 Fuel Assembly Optimization for Uprated Power?, L. Heraltov? provided
?Fullcore VVER-440 benchmark evaluation?, R. Zajac (co-author P. Dalek) informed
about ?Full Core Benchmark Calculations at VUJE?, E. Temesv?ri (co-authors Gy. Hegyi,
G. Hord?sy, A. Kereszt?ri and Cs. Mar?czy) presented ?Solution of the VVER-440
Benchmark by KARATE? and finaly D. Sprinzl (co-authors V. Kr?sl, P. Mikol
and J.
?varn?) spoke about "?Full-core? VVER-440 benchmark calculated by MOBY-DICK
macrocode?.
During the meeting were discussed questions connected with the benchmark solution
and, among others, future activities, which are also shortly described in the end of the paper.
