Abstract
Development activities, presented in the paper, contribute to the evolution of gadolinium fuel for the VVER-440 reactors. Short overview of existing and already proposed Gd-assemblies is given. Two new assemby types with improved features are described. Multiplication coefficients and pin power peaking factors of all mentioned gadolinium assemblies are compared. Animations of power distribution behaviour in selected Gd-assemblies are shown.
