Abstract

CALCULATIONS OF 3D FULL-SCALE FA MODELS WITH FEEDBACKS AND BURNUP USING MCU AND BIPR-7A CODES

ABSTRACT
3D infinite lattices of full-scale VVER-1000 TVS-2M FAs with uranium fuel 4,4 % enrichment and uranium-erbium fuel 4,4 % enrichment and Er2O3 1 % wt are considered. FA burnup of FA working with the constant power level is modeled using MCU and BIPR-7A codes.
For different time moments effective multiplication factor and power distribution is obtained. Cases with and without power. with and without boron in water, with different control rods positions are considered. Results, obtained using BIPR-7A, are compared with MCU code results. Analysis of differences is conducted.
