ABSTRACT
In-core instrumentation system (ICIS) is primary means for control of VVER parameters related to safe operation. ICIS – the important part of the technical justification for safety and one of the elements of defence-in-depth principle realization. VVER development poses problems of ICIS improvement towards increased functionality, improvement of accuracy, reliability and performance. The modern ICIS is currently designed and implementing on a high capacity VVER reactors. The report presents the experience of the implementation and ongoing research for further improvement of ICIS for VVER reactors development.
